Riding Mountain Gifts
We invite you to consider purchasing local art as a memory of the RIding Mountains. A wide range of local art is available at Poor Michael's Bookshop, Art & Café (May to October) in Onanole, just outside the south boundary of Riding Mountain National Park.
Pottery
One of the featured artists is Sue Davar, whose pottery is one of a kind. Using a combination of glazes that are distinctive, it is her forms that speak to function and creative expression. From teapots to carved vases and formed serving platters, this is art inspired by the spirit of the aspen parklands. At other times of the year, her work is available at the Solstice Spa gift shop in the Elkhorn Resort.
Please contact Sue Davar at sue.davar@earthrhythms.ca for one of a kind artisanal pottery gifts for friends, corporate events, one of a kind celebrations, or seasonal holidays.
Photography
Celes Davar is an award-winning local photographer whose work is available as gifts for interior decor. His images of Riding Mountain nature, tourism, wildlife, and scenics speak to a photographer "who chases light". He is widely published in a variety of Canadian magazines and books. His images hang in a number of private homes and corporate offices. Celes Davar shoots on assignment in and around Riding Mountain, and has a wide range of stock images available for use in print, web, and other media applications.
